Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit the LX-6?

No. The LX-6 uses a physically smaller 6-inch screen and housing. While they look similar in photos, this 8-inch shield is too wide for the LX-6. You need the specific LX-6 Snow Shield.

Does this protect the screen during transport?

Yes. This is the primary function. It hinges down to cover the glass completely, acting as a hard shell case to prevent augers or other gear from smashing the screen while bouncing around in your sled or truck.

My shield cracked. Why did this happen?

These shields are made of hard plastic. In extreme cold (-30°C or below), plastic becomes brittle. If the shield is forced open or stepped on while frozen, it can crack. We recommend being gentle when snapping it on/off in extreme sub-zero conditions.
