Will this work on my new HELIX 7 G4N?
No. The G4N models have bulky network cable collectors on the back that require more clearance. If you use this "Short" bracket on a G4N, the cables will hit the surface below and you won't be able to tilt the screen. You need the GM H7R2 for G4N models.
Does this come with the knobs?
Yes. The kit includes the gimbal bracket and the two ratchet-style side knobs to secure the unit to the bracket.
Is this metal or plastic?
It is a high-density Composite (Plastic). Humminbird switched to composite brackets for the HELIX 5 and 7 series years ago because they are lighter, corrosion-proof, and bounce back from impact better than bent aluminum.
