Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work with my Side Imaging (SI) unit?
Yes. You can put a HELIX 7 MSI G4N on this kit. However, the included transducer (XI 9 20) is a 2D Sonar only transducer. You will not get Side Imaging or Down Imaging on the ice, but you will get the traditional flasher view and 2D sonar history, which is exactly what you need for hard water fishing.
Does it include the interference rejection?
The interference rejection is built into your Head Unit, not the kit. Once you plug your HELIX into this kit and switch it to "Ice Mode" in the menu, you can use the CHIRP Interference Rejection settings to block out noise from other flashers nearby.
Is the transducer the "CHIRP" version?
The included transducer is the XI 9 20. It is a Dual Beam transducer (200/83 kHz). While it is not the "High Wide" (HW) transducer, your CHIRP-enabled HELIX unit can still chirp these frequencies to provide excellent target separation on the ice.
