Will this fit my new HELIX 7?
No. The HELIX 7 uses a "Widescreen" (16:9) aspect ratio. The 700 Series used a "Square" (4:3) aspect ratio. This bracket is too narrow for a HELIX 7. You need the IDMK H7 kit for the new units.
Does it come with the cutting template?
Yes. The kit includes a paper template that you tape to your dashboard. It shows you exactly where to drill the corner holes and where to cut the main opening for a perfect fit.
Can I use this to replace a broken gimbal mount?
This kit is specifically for In-Dash (Flush) mounting. It does not replace the U-shaped gimbal bracket that sits on top of the console. If you want to mount the unit on top of the dash, you need the GM 700 gimbal mount instead.
