The assembly features a built-in fuse holder to protect your electronics from power surges and comes with spade connectors pre-installed for easy battery attachment.

This cord fits the Original VX-1 and VX-1P.

It DOES NOT fit the newer VX-1i (which uses a different multi-pin connector). Please check the front of your unit before ordering.

Check Your Fuse: If your unit isn't turning on, check the in-line fuse on this cable first. It is the most common reason for a "dead" unit.

How can I tell if I have a VX-1 or a VX-1i?

Look at the faceplate. The VX-1i will have a distinct "i" after the model name. Also, the VX-1i uses a different power plug shape than the older VX-1/1P.

What size fuse does this take?

It typically uses a standard 2-amp or 3-amp automotive blade fuse (ATO/ATC).

My plug fits, but the unit won't turn on. What's wrong?

First, check that the Red wire is on the Positive (+) terminal and Black is on Negative (-). Then check the fuse inside the little black holder on this cable.
