Is this the right size for my HELIX 10?

Yes. For any unit 9 inches or larger, we strongly recommend this D-Size (2.25") system. The smaller C-Size (1.5") ball often slips under the weight of a 10+ inch screen in rough water.

Does it come with the mounting screws?

No. This part is just the Ball Base itself. It does not include the bolts to attach it to your boat or the bolts to attach it to your fish finder. You usually use the hardware that came with your fish finder's gimbal bracket.

What is the diameter of the base?

The round plate is 3.68 inches in diameter. It is large enough to spread the load on your fiberglass or aluminum dashboard, preventing stress cracks.
