Yes. This 9Ah battery has the exact same physical dimensions (6" x 2.75" x 3.875") as the standard 7Ah battery that came with your HELIX 5. It is a direct drop-in replacement that provides slightly longer runtime.

Can I use my old wall charger?

Yes. Any standard 12V SLA trickle charger (like the 1-Amp or 500mA chargers that come with Humminbird and Marcum kits) will charge this battery perfectly. It may just take an hour or two longer to reach a full charge due to the increased capacity.

Is this better than a Lithium battery?

SLA batteries are heavier and have a shorter lifespan than modern Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. However, SLA batteries are significantly cheaper and perform very reliably in extreme cold. If you are on a budget, this is the most cost-effective way to get your unit back on the ice.
