The standard for most boat setups. The Humminbird AS EC 20E is a rugged, 20-foot shielded Ethernet Cable designed to bridge the gap between your bow and console units, or to connect a bow-mounted trolling motor to a fish finder at the helm.

Need a different size for your rigging? We also stock Humminbird Ethernet cables in 5-foot, 10-foot, 15-foot, and 30-foot lengths.

⚠️ HELIX USER ALERT: If you are connecting this cable to a HELIX unit, you MUST purchase the AS EC QDE Adapter Dongle (sold separately) for EACH HELIX unit. This cable will not plug directly into a HELIX without it.

Yes, for most standard fishing boats up to 18-20 feet, this 20-foot cable is the ideal length to run through the gunnels from a bow unit or trolling motor back to the console. If you are routing through a larger boat or need to follow a complex path, you may want to measure and consider the 30ft (AS EC 30E) cable.

Do I really need the adapter for my HELIX?

Yes. The port on the back of all HELIX units is a small, rectangular proprietary plug. This AS EC 20E cable has a round, threaded metal connector. The AS EC QDE dongle converts the square HELIX port to the round Ethernet port. You cannot plug this cable in without it.

Can I use this cable to connect my Humminbird directly to my Minn Kota trolling motor?

Yes, if your Minn Kota trolling motor features i-Pilot Link or Advanced GPS Navigation. This 20-foot length is generally perfect for reaching from the trolling motor up front down to your console-mounted fish finder.
